Choose laundry for durable everyday wear
Wash and fold is a practical choice for everyday cotton clothing, towels, bedsheets and durable casual wear when the care label permits washing. Choose wash and iron when you also want the finished items pressed and ready to wear.
Choose dry cleaning for delicate or structured items
Dry cleaning is generally more appropriate for dry-clean-only labels, silk, wool, blazers, suits, embellished ethnicwear and garments with structured linings. The process uses a cleaning method suited to items that may shrink, distort or lose colour in water.
Read the label and flag stains early
Care labels are the best first instruction. Tell the cleaner about the source of a stain if known and avoid home heat treatment before handing it over; heat can make some stains harder to remove. No cleaner can responsibly guarantee the removal of every set-in stain, but clear information improves the assessment.
Useful rule of thumb
If it is an everyday washable item, laundry is usually suitable. If it is delicate, tailored, heavily decorated or marked dry clean only, choose dry cleaning. Still unsure? Share the item details when booking a pickup.
